I finished weaving Tracy’s band on Monday night. Ultimately, it came out to about 8.5 feet, which is a lot more than she needs for a purse strap, but she will use the rest on trim for another project. I’m pretty happy with the way the work turned out. I managed to keep the width pretty even along the whole length of the piece, and the colors stand out nicely – a testament to Tracy’s dyeing skill!
Next up – a belt to go with my Brown Bliaut. I got colors to match the fabrics from Halcyon Yarn, where they have a wide variety of fibers and thread weights and colors. As usual, I’d like one of every color but I managed to restrict myself to only a few things this time around, and have schooled myself not to buy things (like red) that can be easily obtained at the local craft stores.
